Photographer Nick olsen, 27, who works with the old labor-intensive process of photography and the designer Lilah horvitz, 23, who made "site specific clothing," met with artist living in Pennsylvania. Early in their relationship, olson invited horvitz with him on a visit to his family property in southern West Virginia. One night, two people to walk in the woods, in the eyes of the art.
When the sun sank behind the mountain, the couple started talking about how amazing light appeared in the moment. What, if they want, it is possible that a living space, light on the base of the time of day?
"Light in the morning, noon and evening is so different. We hope to build a house in some way, so this change happened in our living space," says olson. "It is more close to the elements of life."
Olson and Horwitz plan to work in their current job during the summer, but agree they suddenly found a project worth pursuing.
Spur decided what he calls "time," new people quit the original work, rented a u-shaped traction, and began to drive state to find the right window for family completely.

Most couples gathered the window was found or cleaning up, says olson. Some people buy, but not many. The first couple found a big pile of old window of an abandoned barn in Pennsylvania. Horvitz is introduced to find the "accident" in the window.
When they collected enough glass, two people began to build a family of new river gorge national river park near to the family's land. The property to the nearest town is Han Ding, West Virginia, says olson.
Horwitz said, sometimes frustrating in the process of construction. The entire structure of two built-in itself - they are the only audience occasionally curious deer, rabbit and fox. Horwitz says, the home front window of the wall about 16 feet high, but the structure is based off another 4 feet on the ground.
"It's just the two of us trying to put these big position. This is terrible, hard," she said. "" it now appears that this is completely crazy. This is huge. I now realize that this is what makes it so amazing. "
Olson, credits the success of the family of artistic vision and thrift. On life diet of rice and beans, use two nails, wood, and any old barn saving property together with its huge structure. They estimated that they spent 500 yuan of the total project.
"Even if we from the abandoned barn roof," says olson. "We can make it a reality, because we are the first artists and creators. We have to improvise cheaply to do this."
After months of work, completed in December. At once is a pile of old Windows and that piece of forest stood a beautiful glass building. Although there is no pipe or electricity, two artists, said they enjoy space as an escape.
Horvitz described her favorite day in the home, "the evening sun" - like darkness falls.
"At that moment, everything inside is fire," she said.
Olson said, after the sun goes down, he respect.
"Experience of the house is in the evening," says olson. "Firefly start and merged star above the ground. It is really like you sleep under the stars."
Someday, olson and Horwitz wants to establish to family and an outdoor kitchen, solar power and a wood burning stove, they said. But for now, a couple of Milwaukee, said they will enjoy the family as a picturesque retreat.
